Blogmas Day 10: 12 Holiday Hair Styles For Short Hair

Hey everyone!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!! I hope you all had a great day! I spent the majority of my day working on yesterdays blog post as well as todays! I also babysat tonight! I can’t wait for tomorrow!! I just love Christmas time so much!! I cannot believe I’ve almost blogged 12 days in a row! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it or not…with work and some other things I wasn’t sure. It ended up being a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, and a lot more fun! Maybe I’ll take on the whole month of Blogmas next year?

So today I decided to show you guys 12 Holiday hair styles for short hair! You can totally do these if you have longer hair as well! I’ve been binge watching short hair styles videos on YouTube since I chopped my hair again. I’ve mainly been watching Milabu! I’ll link her channel here! She definitely inspired some of these looks today! So without further ado if you’d like to find out which 12 hairstyles made it on this list, then keep on reading!

I decided to film the looks as I did them. I’m not always the best at explaining things, so I figured having a visual aid along with it would be a ton of help! Please excuse the weird faces, different lighting, a bit choppy editing, the weird names I’ve given these looks, and me watching the O.C.

(The video is up on my FaceBook page! So incase you need pictures too here are some kinda blurry, kinda not pictures (AKA Screen Shots) of the looks, ahah!)

➝The two sides back ⋮ I love this one because it is so easy! You can either do a middle part like I did or a side part. You can add fancy Bobbi pins and different pins!

➝Plain and Straight ⋮ So basically I had a different one planned but it was a total disaster, so I decided to add in just the simple and plain straight hair style. Like the last one you can have different parts. I just used my flat iron.

➝2 braids and a middle part ⋮ I love this one!! You split your hair down in the middle, and then you take two pieces from the front and section that off. Then you French braid. But ONLY take hair from the front. You can totally pull the braids apart for more texture or leave them in tight for a more polished effect.

➝Curls ⋮ I just wanted simple curls. Wavy but not too wavy. I only used my flat iron, and didn’t pull the iron all the way through. I also didn’t curl every piece. It is super easy and a fast way to get curls.

➝Half Back ⋮ So for this one I created a side part, and then took the smaller side and pinned it back. I normally tuck it behind the other side, or add in some cute clips or Bobbi pins. I didn’t this time, because I couldn’t find the Bobbi pins I normally use.

➝Side Braid ⋮ I was originally going to do a faux water fall braid, however it ended very badly. I still love this though! You can pull apart the braid or leave it tight. This is simple and easy too!

➝3 Twists ⋮ It’s the same concept as the half back, but you add three twists. You can always do just one twist too! I wanted to add a little more edge and flair to the look!

➝The “Santa” Hair ⋮ I call this one the “Santa” hair, because I wore this look for the first time two years ago when we went and saw Santa! It’s so easy! Just take some hair at the crown of your head, and then tie that off. You can tease the hair to add more texture and volume. Then you can do as many twists as you want, but make sure you loosen them. I just take the bottoms and pull up with the other, to loosen them up. I left a few pieces to frame my face.

➝Elegant Pony Tail ⋮ I left down a few pieces to frame my face. I then just pulled back the rest of my hair, and pinned any pieces under that were too tiny to fit. I also wrapped a piece around the rubber band to hide it!

➝Under Braid & Bun ⋮ I wear this all the time! I started by sectioning off my hair. I went from the tops of my ear. I then tied off the top section. I flipped my hair over and French braided the bottom half, and tied it off with an elastic. I then just pulled it into a pony, but not all the way through on the last tie. and just pinned it to make it look like a bun! I also wear this with a pony tail!

➝Half Half Up ⋮ I just took a section of my hair, basically I drew an imaginary line from my pupils and up and thats the hair I used. I tied it off with an elastic. I went and touched up a few curls and thats it!

➝Double Dutch Braided Buns ⋮ I sectioned off the top of the head into two other sections. I punned back the bottom section, and the other side. I then went on to dutch braid (under not over) the two sections and tie them off with an elastic. I then just teased the rest of the hair and pinned them into buns. This was the hair style I wore Friday to work, that’s why there isn’t a video, just a picture.

Those are all the looks! I hope these inspire some of you! If you try any of these send me a picture! Or tag me on Instagram. I’ll see you all tomorrow on Christmas Eve for day 11!
